I am glad we have the live conference sessions to be able to ask questions about the tasks for the week. For the first week of class the session provided an overview of the course. Instructor emphasized about working on getting our groups set up already and about asking if students had issues on the course. I remembered being confused about seeing two courses then of the same number. I thought, somehow they must have added me to the same course. The instructor explained to me the reason because of having a lab section required for the course. They eventually removed it.
The next session I attended was the 2nd week. That time instructor was really helpful in providing an overview of the program and asked if we had questions. Our group didn't have much questions on the assignment. Met my group member David there and Lee in the first session.
Last session I attended was last week. Not much questions in that group either. But had a good explanation by the instructor on meeting with our assigned advisor.
I do appreciate these sessions. I don't feel alone. I have the support of my instructor and my class mates. I like this format. Not many other programs provide this. I can definitely see this helping with retention of students.
